Where was ‘Lady’ filmed? A look inside the real-life home of the eccentric Lady Isabella

On Location peels back the curtain on some of your favourite films, television shows, and more. This time, we ask: where was Lady filmed?

“I’m Lady Isabella, welcome to Ravenhyde Hall. Come on in, come and see where the magic happens…”

These are some of the first words we hear from the leading lady of, well, Lady – director Samuel Abrahams’ new dark comedy centred around the life of a narcissistic, bizarre aristocrat. Sian Clifford (Fleabag, Ludwig) plays in the titular role in the film, which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2025, with Juliet Cowan, Laurie Kynaston and Olisa Odele claiming the supporting roles.

The opening shots of Lady Isabella set the tone of the eccentricity to come. First, legs draped in vivid purple trousers lead down to shiny black loafers are shown to belong to a figure… lying face down on a grand staircase. Next, Lady Isabella is face down in a bush, her hands by her side, dressed in gardening gloves. Then, face down at a dining table. The life of an aristocrat must be hard, hey?

As the crew Lady Isabella’s hired to film her life around the home wander around, the lead character’s idiosyncrasies unravel among dressed dining tables that stretch into the distance, kitchens fit for rustling up banquets and a jumble of taxidermy creations.
