After much hype over Pheu Thai party’s mint-chocolate drinks, which eventually became heavily politicised, Move Forward party’s Sol Bar has introduced a new drink, called “Pracha-Choc”, a mix of pink milk and chocolate.

“Pracha-Choc” not only mocks Pheu Thai’s signature mint-chocolate drink, the name itself also rhymes with the word “shock”, possibly referencing people’s shock over Pheu Thai’s recent political moves.

Pheu Thai announced on Monday that it will join hands with the Bhumjaithai party to form a new government, after breaking away from Move Forward’s coalition, automatically pushing Move Forward into opposition. This move is widely seen, but especially by its supporters, as a betrayal of the voters.

Adding onto the hype, a recent TikTok video by user @sandrakpong went viral, in which he posted a review of Move Forward party’s Sol Bar and tasted the new “Pracha-Choc” drink. Poking fun at it, he jokingly said that it is a mixture of Pheu Thai, Palang Pracharath, Seri Ruam Thai, and Bhumjaithai parties, which is a “shock” to many Thais. The video has attracted 129,000 likes and over 9,000 shares so far.
