More celebrities report to police over Magic Skin scandal

Six more celebrities reported to police yesterday to give testimonies on their reviews of  Magic Skin cosmetics and weight loss products,  bringing the number of celebrities summoned by police so far  to 46. 

The deputy commissioner Pol Gen Veerachai Songmetta  hinted after their testimonies that some might face charges for over exaggeration of some fake and substandard products.

The latest group of six celebrities giving testimonies to Pol Gen Veerachai included Porshe Saran Sirilak, Sawika Chaidej, Waratthaya Nilkuha, Warittisa Limthammahisorn, Usamanee Waithayanont and  Miss Universe Thailand 2017 Maria Poonlertlarp.

 

They all gave similar testimonies  saying they were contacted to review the products through middlemen or their personal managers.

They claimed they had personally tested the products and found no side-effects or any negative results.

All  affirmed that they have no intention to deceive the public and pledged they would be more cautious if they hired to promote any products in the future.

One actress, Waratthaya, said she would donate  money she earned from Magic Skin product review to make merits.

Meanwhile Pol Gen Veerachai said that 46 out of all 59 celebrities have reported to the police after being summoned.

He said the police have not pressed any charges against these celebrities as the investigation is still under way.
