North Korean leader Kim Jong Un declared his “friendship, unity and cooperation” with Beijing during his two-day visit to China which ends today. Kim arrived in Beijing yesterday, his third visit to China this year in what is seen as a display of his loyalty to China.
State television CGTN reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Kim today for talks at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. It said Xi praised China-North Korea ties during the meeting, and stressed that through concerted efforts between the two countries and relevant parties, the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia will achieve peace, stability, and prosperity.
