Japan sends two irrigation experts to help in the cave rescue operation


Japan International Cooleration Agency (JICA) announced yesterday  that it is sending two experts to   help Thai irrigation officials drain water out of the cave area efficiently.

According to JICA Thailand Office’s announcement released  yesterday, Japan has sent two experts to Chiang Rai province yesterday to support and  give advice to Thai irrigation officials on the draining of floodwater efficiently and urgently from the Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non cave.

Besides JICA said the experts will also  assess  the possibility of using the latest technology to help in the rescue operation in the next step of assistance.

It said that at present two trucks installed with high pressure water pumps given to Thailand’s Irrigation Department for use in the Ayutthaya irrigation project
under its international cooperation project had been sent to Chiang Rai to help in the rescue operation.
