Hôtel du Cap-Éden-Roc

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc has welcomed the cultural and literary elite since 1870. The hotel serves as the inspiration for Gausse’s Hôtel des Étrangers in Fitzgerald’s Tender Is the Night and is known to have hosted Picasso, Chagall, Elizabeth Taylor and the Kennedys. Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc highlights include the Dior Spa Eden Roc, private villa rentals and restaurants led by executive chef Sébastien Broda. This year, the iconic institution will host Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and Vanity Fair’s first editor, Graydon Carter, for his famous annual soirée.

The Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel

A beloved hundred-year-old icon designed in neo-Renaissance and Belle Époque styles, the hotel has Hollywood ties far beyond its contemporary clientele. It was used for a handful of scenes of Hitchcock’s 1955 film, To Catch a Thief, starring Grace Kelly and Cary Grant, in fact.

These days, the hotel has seven new luxe studios and a penthouse (in two wings spanning more than 20,000 square meters), an enclosed inner courtyard transformed into a leafy landscaped garden, a sunbathing deck with cabanas and the largest infinity pool in the city, following extensive renovations. It’s no wonder it’s a celeb favourite during the festival.
