Immigration police have revoked the visa of a Spaniard who is currently being held in police custody on suspicion of involvement in the murder and decapitation of another foreigner.

Pol Lt-Gen Surapong Thanomchit, commissioner of Region 8 Provincial Police Bureau, said today (Saturday) that the man, identified only as Daniel, acted suspiciously by buying a knife, plastic bags and cleansing fluid from a store before the arrival of a Colombian friend, Edwin, whom he reported as missing to Koh Pha-ngan police on Friday night.

Police today released a CCTV image from August 2, showing Daniel on a motorcycle with another man, believed to be Edwin, travelling from the pier on Koh Pha-ngan to their hotel.

Forensic officers are yet to verify that the dismembered remains belong to the missing Colombian.

A plastic bag stuffed with human parts was found at a garbage separation site, after it had been collected from a rubbish dump in Ban Thong Sala on August 3rd.

More human parts were found yesterday in another plastic bag at the garbage separation site, together with a T-shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of blood-stained red boxer shorts.

Police believe that the additional body parts belong to the same victim, because the plastic bags containing the parts were collected from the location.
