Grocery trucks from monks to the elderly in Lampang

Written by Thailand News

In Thai society, monks play a vital role as the anchors of faith and spirituality for many people. So, when communities are in crisis, monks are often seen coming out of their temples to help people, as has been the case during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Maha Chulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya University, a Buddhist college in Lampang province of Thailand, has organized a project to help people suffering from economic hardship and those in home quarantine because of COVID-19. The project sends grocery trucks to the community in Ko Kha District, Lampang province of Thailand.
