Chavanond Intarakomalyasut
Former secretary to Thai the foreign minister and former spokesman for the Democrat party Chavanond Intarakomalyasut was apprehended by Crime Suppression Division police today (Wednesday), for allegedly violating the Cheques Act.
Armed with an arrest warrant issued by the Dusit District Court on July 11th, Crime Suppression Division officers went to a house on Srinagarind Road, in Bangkok’s Suan Luang district, to make the arrest.
According to the police, Chavanond is accused by an actress, “Panpim” and an actor, Warut Brown, of asking them to buy a Mercedes Benz E350 and BMW Series 7 in their names on lease contracts last year. Chavanond allegedly issued post-dated cheques to cover the monthly instalments, but the cheques bounced. He is also accused of borrowing money against the two luxurious cars without their consent.
The two victims claim that they are assistants to Chavanond.
