PM2.5 readings in 30 provinces, including 10 areas in and around Bangkok, exceed the safe threshold of 37.5µg/m³ today, but the situation is expected to improve from tomorrow until March 5th, according to the Air Pollution Mitigation Centre of the Pollution Control Department.
Mae Pa sub-district, in the Mae Sot district of Tak, has the highest level of PM2.5, measured at 90.1µg/m³, while readings in the north range from 39.1µg/m³ to 90.1µg/m³.
Only four areas in northeast have excessive PM2.5 levels, measured up to 50.3µg/m³. Most areas in the central and western regions also have high PM2.5 levels, from 24.4µg/m³ up to 63.7µg/m³. Only two areas in eastern provinces have excessive PM2.5, up to 52µg/m³.
The south, as a whole, is free from PM2.5, with the maximum level measured at 30.1µg/m³.
In Bangkok, excessive PM2.5 dust was detected this morning on Phahonyothin Road in Chatuchak district (41.7µg/m³), Rama 4 Road, in front of Samyan Mitrtown (41.1µg/m³), Din Daeng Road (40.8µg/m³), Nikhom Ban Rodfai Thonburi 5 Road, in Bangkok Noi district (40.8µg/m³) and Thawi Wanarom Park (40.1µg/m³).
