Police have found many fake US$100 banknotes, blank notes and currency counterfeiting equipment in two safes in the hotel room of a Taiwanese man who was found murdered last Thursday.

Police investigators searched the deceased man’s room in a hotel in Soi Udomsuk, in Bangkok’s Bang Na district, as part of their murder investigation.

Two suspects, a Myanmar man and a Cameroonian, are being held in police custody and a third suspect, a man from Vanuatu, is believed to have fled Thailand after the discovery of the body of the Taiwanese man.

A warrant has already been issued for the arrest of a Thai woman, suspected to be a go-between for the mastermind and the three foreign suspects, who were captured by CCTV entering the victim’s room.

A police investigator says that they are coordinating with Interpol to track down the Vanuatu man, whose identity has not yet been made public.
