City bus service introduces QR code ticketing on 2 routes today 


The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority’s (BMTA) today officially launched QR Code ticketing system for its Airport Bus service from Don Mueang airport to the heart of the capital.

The launch followed yesterday’s ceremony chaired by Transport Minister Arkom Termpitthayapaisith to commence  the  launch of the QR code ticketing system for the BMTA’s airport bus service from Don Mueang international airport to the centre of the capital.

The two bus routes from Don Mueang airport  are Route A1 from Don Mueang to Chatuchak, and Route A2 from Don Mueang to the Victory Monument.

The bus fare is 30 baht per trip.

Meanwhile the BMTA said it will  also launch the QR scanning service on  the A3 Don Mueang-Lumphini route and A4 Don Mueang-Sanam Luang route on July 1.

BMTA has conducted the test run of QR code ticketing system for A1 and A2 routes since June 4.
