Belgium continued its winning streak in the World Cup last night by beating England 1-0 in Kaliningrad. Adnan Januzaj curled in a left-footed shot in the 51st minute for the winning goal that saw Belgium win all the three matches in the group stage. Despite the loss, England will still go into the knockout stage along with Belgium.
In another match in Saransk, Tunisia defeated Panama 2-1 for its first win in the World Cup in 40 years. It was Yassine Meriah who deflected a shot from José Luis Rodríguez in the 33rd minute for Panama’s only goal. Tunisia equalized six minutes into the second half as Fakhreddine Ben Youssef turned home a cross before Wahbi Khazri scored from close range in the 66th minute. But despite the victory, Tunisa is out of the World Cup along with Panama.
