If images are the expression of a thousand words, these finalists selected by the World Photography Organisation have compelling stories to share, which speak to the fragility of nature and humankind’s interaction with our environment. More than 330,000 shots from 220 territories were submitted to the Sony World Photography Awards 2021, and the people behind these images are among the finalists in the Professional category. Winners announced in full on 15 April.
