Malaysia’s Ambassador to Thailand Jojie Samuel (L) shakes hands with House Speaker Wan Muhamad Noor Matha during the inaugural Ambassadors’ Ball on March 8.

Members of diplomatic corps from over 50 countries and business leaders gathered in Bangkok last Friday to raise funds in support of the Chaipattana Foundation. A total of 1 million baht was raised during the Ambassador’s Charity Ball, organised by the Diplomatic Council.

In his opening remarks, Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, Speaker of the House of Representatives, said “I hope that the event will strengthen the international relationships between countries and initiate new cooperation with no boundaries or cultural differences.”

Malaysia’s Ambassador to Thailand Jojie Samuel, also dean of the Diplomatic Council, said “the diplomatic corps stands as a bridge, fostering connections and understanding among nations. Supported by the diplomatic community and the Diplomatic Council, this ball showcases the collective strength of our shared commitment to global cooperation.”

The Chaipattana Foundation has a commitment to sustainable development, social initiatives and projects. The foundation aims to improve Thai people’s quality of life, especially in rural areas, and provides prompt, timely and necessary responses to problems affecting the Thai people through various development projects.
