The protesters first gathered at the campus, before marching and driving to the Property Management office of Chulalongkorn University to hand in a protest letter.

They then continued their mobile rally to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovations, the Office of Civil Service Commission and parliament. Similar protest letters are to be submitted to parliament and the ministry.

Uniformed and plainclothes metropolitan police officers were deployed to direct traffic and ensure order during the march.

To avoid confrontation with the protesters, staff of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovations and the Industrial Works Department were told to work from home today.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said this morning that a committee has been set up to consider the problem and to hear the opinions of all stakeholders, adding that Higher Education and Science Minister Supamas Isarabhakdi will provide full details of the case this afternoon.

The prime minister insisted that the situation must be resolved by following the letter of the law.
