Far away from the party crowds in the sun-drenched countryside and vineyard-covered hills outside Santa Eulària, Finca Legado Ibiza embodies the slower-paced side of the island. The brainchild of Austrian creatives Andi Lackner and Andreas Oberkanins, it is an inventive take on rustic Mediterranean style with a design edge. Each room is a variation on the overarching haute-boho theme, with vintage pieces such as industrial lamps, baskets and upholstered chairs, as well as recycled fabrics, the vast majority designed by the owners themselves for an eclectic yet polished aesthetic. The building opens onto a pool and verdant gardens, where imposing cacti and palm trees jostle for space with hibiscus plants and lemon trees.
The winner and their guest can expect to be lulled to sleep by the sounds of crickets and frogs, and wake to the soft singing of birds before a complimentary organic breakfast. Fresh eggs are collected daily from the finca’s own chickens and fruit from the surrounding orchards, which makes for tasty jams, juices and fresh orange cake. And the best part? The hotel owners understand the virtue of a late breakfast when on holiday – so there’s no rush to get up.
This prize is valid until 1 October 2021 and includes return economy flights from London to Ibiza with transfers up to the total value of £500.
