Search for the last 15 missing passengers from the sunken Phoenix dive boat continues for the third consecutive day today amidst rainfall with the search to be expanded to Phi-Phi islands and Koh Lanta in neighbouring Krabi province.

Officials said that naval ships would patrol the sea where the current was flowing to look for the remaining 15 missing passengers and this could take the search vessel to Phi-Phi islands and Koh Lanta.

One victim is still trapped inside the sunken Phoenix vessel, but divers could not recover the body yet as the boat needs to be tilted to an upright position.

There were 105 passengers and crews on board Phoenix dive boat when it capsized and finally sank as it was travelling between Koh Heh and Koh Mai Thon off Phuket on Friday evening.  49 passengers have been rescued and 41 were confirmed dead with 15 missing and still unaccounted for.
