Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is scored 6.40 out of 10 and his government 5.06 in a recent satisfaction rating survey conducted by Bangkok University, or Bangkok Poll.

The poll was conducted on 1,276 people aged 18 and above throughout the country to gauge the satisfaction toward Gen Prayut and his government after four years in office.  The government under Gen Prayut will be in office for four years in August.

On Gen Prayut’s overall performance during the past four years, the respondents scored him an average of 6.40 out of 10. He received a score of  7.02 for decisiveness, 6.81 for honesty, and 6.70 for his dedication to solving the country’s problems.

On the government’s overall performance during the past four year, the respondents scored it an average of 5.06 out of 10. It received a score of 6.14 for the country’s security, 5.51 for law enforcements and 5.03 for its handling of social affairs and quality of life promotion.

Asked to mention the government’s outstanding policies, 23.4% of the respondents pointed to welfare cards for low-income people, 20.5% for its ability to maintain law and order without a protest, and 13.7% for its serious suppression of corruption.

Asked what problems the government has not been able to solve during the past four years, 52.2% mentioned the economy, 11.8% the low prices of agriculture produce, and 8.3% its promise to hold elections.
