The cold season has ended with the arrival of the dry season starting Saturday, the Thai Meteorological Department announced on Monday.
The department said that, from now on, the mercury in the upper part of the country will rise gradually, with continuing hot weather during the day time as the northeastern monsoon which used to blanket most part of the country has been replaced by southeastern wind.
However, the northern and northeastern regions will still experience cool weather during the morning for a little while.
The dry season is expected to end in May with the onset of the rainy season, said the Weatherman.
