The Kwae Noi Bamrung Daen Dam in Phitsanulok province was not affected by a 3.4-magnitude earthquake that hit nearby Loei province late on Sunday night, according to Bundith Inta, the dam director.
The Thai Meteorological Deopartment’s Seismology Bureau said the the quake occurred at 10.08pm with the epicentre in Wang Saphung district of Loei.

The quake was felt by people in tambons Khok Khamin and Pha Noi of Wang Saphung district, tambons Pan Phoem of Pha Khao district, and some areas in Nong Hin district.
There were no reports of casualties or damage.
The epicentre of the quake was about 150 metres from Kwae Noi Bamrung Daen Dam in Phitsanulok.
Asked if the dam had been affected, Mr Bundith, the director of the dam, said the tremor had no effects on the dam, which is designed to withstand a quake of up to 7-magnitude.
