11 men and 14 women arrested at a sex party in a Pattaya hotel

Eleven men and 14 women of several nationalities were arrested in a raid at an unlicensed hotel in Pattaya late Saturday (April 21) for alleged involvement in a sex party.

The proprietor of the premise, Mr Yang, a Chinese national, was also arrested by the police on charges of operating a hotel without a license, arranging for sex service for men and women with or without their consent.

Acting on a tipoff that the hotel, Ban Tulip, located on Khao Phra Tamnak Soi 6, was used as a venue for sex party every weekend, Bang Lamung district chief officer Naris Niramaiwong sought the cooperation of Pattaya, immigration and tourist police and military personnel to raid the premise which is a four-storey building with over 30 rooms.

The hotel is located on a one rai plus land plot and it is divided into three zones:  the swimming pool zone, the counter bar zone and the zone for partying activity which was known among party-goers as “Play”.

The officials raided the hotel and found several naked men and women in the act of having sex in the Play room. Eleven men and 14 men of American, Canadian, Chinese, Cambodian, Indian, German, Singaporean, Malaysian and Ukrainian nationalities were detained.

Several used and unused condoms, sex toys and sex enhancement drugs were found in the room.

Police said that all arrested men and women were guests of the hotel.

Bang Lamung district chief officer said that the hotel announced its sex party activity in its website with a condition that those who are interested must apply for memberships through the website and the couples must be lovers. Room charge is 1,500 baht per night.
