Motorists advised to take Highway 347 to North to avoid heavy traffic on main highways

As all major highways leading to the northern and northeastern provinces are heavily congested with vehicles taking over a million Songkran revellers out of the capital, the Highway police today advised motorists to use Highway 347 instead if they are travelling to the North.

Highway police commander Pol Maj Gen Chat Sukkaewnarong said that as traffic on Motorway 9 or known as Kanchanapisek ring road is heavily congested today after toll was waived during the Songkran festival, he advised motorists to avoid the ring road but to use expressway instead.

He advised that they drive straight to the end of the expressway system and along the main ground level road until they see the intersection, and make a left turn where they will Bang Pa-in road.

He advised that motorists drive forward on the left until they see Highway 347.
