Italian-Thai Development CEO Premchai Karnasuta and three other colleagues appeared in the Thong Phaphum Provincial Court on Monday to answer to charges for poaching of wild animals in Thung Yai Naresuan wildlife sanctuary.
It was their first appearance at the court after the fourth extension of their detention expired today.
Premchai was accompanied by his lawyer.
They immediately went into the courtroom to report themselves under the court’s fourth summons.
The process lasted only in 15 minutes with all emerging out of the courtroom refusing to talk to media representatives waiting to interview him.
The lawyer Vitoon Praiyaem just told reporters that the court has issued the fifth summons ordering him to report to the court on April 5.
Meanwhile the police said they have submitted more forensic report to the prosecutor Monday morning.
He now faces eight charges from 10 for poaching in the wildlife sanctuary.
The prosecutor had not inducted Premchai and three others pending more police investigation on the ecological damage they caused to the sanctuary.
