The National Anti-Corruption Commission says Gen Prawit Wongsuwan has submitted his fourth 38-page letter clarifying his pricey wristwatches.
NACC secretary-general Worawit Sukboon said yesterday (Mar 20) that the panel investigating the case had received a 38-page letter clarifying his watches on March 15.
He said that since the probe was not yet complete, and the panel needed to talk to two more witnesses, the NACC then advised it submit initial finding to the NACC board so that it could consider the case and suggest to the panel what else needed to be done in the investigation.
This possibly could include inviting Gen Prawit to meet the board in person, he said.
However this was up to the decision of the board, he said.
Mr Worawit said Gen Prawit’s fourth letter clarified in details his watches.
But he didn’t elaborate contents in the clarification if it covered the 25 watches as it needed the investigation panel to make a conclusion of its work first.
Earlier NACC chairman Pol Gen Watcharapol Prasarnrajkit assured that since the watch case is on the limelight, the investigation panel would be able to make a transparent finding that could answer all questions raised by the public.
