Three Russian tourists injured in bus crash in Krabi

Written by Thailand News

Three Russian tourists were injured when a tour coach crashed into a roadside tree at Tambon Khao Kram in Krabi’s Muang district early on Friday (March 16).

The tour bus was on its way from Phuket to Krabi international airport with 36 Russian tourists on board.

The bus driver Rachen Sawaengsook told police that as he was driving on the Phetkasem Highway, heading for the airport, he saw three motorcycles racing each other on the same traffic lanes.

One motorcycle instantly cut into his way, forcing him to swerve to the left.

The bus lost balance, flipped over and crashed into a roadside tree by the ditch, he said.

He said he immediately contacted his bus company to arrange a new bus to take the tourists to the airport.
