Police chief won’t replace Pol Gen Srivara as the chief overseer of illegal hunting case

The national police chief said Sunday that the conflict between the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plants Conservation and the police team handling the illegal wildlife hunting case against Italian-Thai boss Premchai Karnasuta was normal and it should be resolved soon.

Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda also said that there was no need to replace Pol Gen Srivara Rangsibrahmanakul, the deputy national police chief, who oversees the police team handling the case because there was nothing wrong with the team and Pol Gen Srivara had been doing his job in a straightforward manner.

The police chief said further that he was not worried with the criticism in the social media against Pol Gen Srivara for allegedly delaying the case and biased in favour of the Italian-Thai boss.

As for the criticism against Pol Gen Srivara, he said the deputy police chief could take legal action against some of his critics to defend his reputation as he thinks fit.
