The nicest affordable hotels in Thailand to book for your next holiday

The nicest affordable hotels in Thailand to book for your next holiday
Written by Travel Adventures

It’s fair to assume that some of the loveliest hotels in Thailand come with the biggest price tags. The good news is that it’s not entirely true. Because among the Amans, Four Seasons and Mandarin Orientals, there are several brands – and independent hotels – that skillfully manage to make you feel rested and taken care of, without the eye-watering price tag.

It may mean that you choose to split the cost of a two-bedroom in-hotel private pool villa to make your nightly rate a steal. Or it could mean heading to a lesser-known stretch of coastline (where the beaches are just as lovely), that doesn’t suffer from a popularity-inflated price tag. It could mean opting for a stay with simpler facilities. But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean compromising on beautifully decorated rooms, a pool and vibey bar areas. I revisit Thailand year after year, and I’ve stayed in some of the most luxurious properties, as well as some of the cheaper, but perhaps more charming hotels both on the mainland and the surrounding islands. Whether you’re looking for activity-packed family-friendly stays, or boutique hotels for a much-needed break with your friends or partner, these are my personal recommendations on where to book for a taste of the very best affordable hotels in Thailand.
