Temperatures forecast to soar to 42°C today in central and northern provinces

Everyone is being advised to avoid exposing themselves to long periods of direct sunlight, due to the very hot weather today across most of the country, especially in northern and central provinces.

According to today’s weather forecast, temperatures in the northern and central regions will exceed reach 42oC, due to a low pressure cell covering northern Thailand.

The rest of the country is also experiencing hot weather, but the maximum temperature is forecast to be around 40oC.

In parts of Bangkok and its vicinity, the temperature is expected to climb to 41oC. Minimum temperatures will be between 28oC and 30oC, while highs range from 36oC to 41oC.

Isolated thunders showers with gusty winds are forecast for some southern parts of the north-eastern and eastern regions.
