The Election Commission resolved today to request the Constitutional Court to disband the Move Forward Party and disqualified its party’s executive members.
This decision follows the unanimous ruling by the Constitutional Court judges on January 31st, finding the party and its former leader, Pita Limjaroenrat, guilty of seeking to overthrow the country’s constitutional monarchy system.
This was due to their political campaign to amend the lese majeste law, known as Section 112.
