Student injured in Nov 11 shooting in Bangkok dies

The 19-year-old vocational student, who was injured in a much-publicised shooting on Sunthorn Kosa Road earlier this month, has died in hospital, his mother said on Monday.

She said her son succumbed to his injuries in Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital at about 8pm on Sunday.

Identified only as Anusorn, he bebecamehe second victim of the shooting in Bangkok’s Khlong Toei district on November 11.

A stray bullet from the shooting also hit bystander Sirada Sinprasert, a school teacher, killing her instantly.

The police investigation shows that a group of about five vocational students were gathered on the pavement in front of a bank, when the pillion passenger from a motorcycle approached the students and opened fire with a handgun.

Police have not yet been able to apprehend the shooter or his accomplice, claiming they have already fled Bangkok for other provinces.
