Amidst the noisy clutter of Bangkok city, the Thai temples offer a sanctuary of silence and space. Among these, the temple of dawn or Wat Arun, a Buddhist temple that was restored and rechristened more than 200 years ago stands glittering in a mosaic of porcelain, the 80 meters tall spire where a lot of tourists are seen throwing coins and wishing for happiness and luck.
