The Government will welcome children to Government House on Children’s Day this Saturday. There will be a variety of entertainment, educational activities and sports for the children to enjoy.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will preside over the event and will personally welcome the children. A highlight of the activities will be a guided tour, given by the prime minister, of his office and the young guests will be able to take turns sitting in his chair, said Anucha Burapachaisri, deputy secretary-general to the prime minister for political affairs.
The activities are intended to promote “Thainess”, patriotism and the potential of children and will feature digital technologies, a robot competition, micro cars, games and green activities under the “BCG” concept.
Anucha said the children can bring their empty bottles or cans, to exchange for souvenirs at the event.
For safety, he said that the children should wear face masks at crowded events, both in Bangkok and elsewhere.
