A good discount is always much appreciated, and especially so on items that are going to see plenty of use, or make life easier day-to-day. So when we spot a sale on travel essentials, we know it’s time to invest. We’ll always be tempted by buys that will make flying long haul more comfortable, or help us zip through security more quickly.

Right now, there are reductions of up to 50 per cent on several of our favourite travel accessories, including a top notch Steamery clothes steamer that fits neatly in a carry on, a luxe leather passport cover, and two of our best travel pillows. Several of the items below have been tried and tested by the Conde Nast Traveller team, so you know you’ll be getting a fabulous saving on a product that should serve you well for years to come.

Here are the best travel accessories sales to shop right now.

Portable travel pillow

Kierain has one of the top-rated and best selling travel pillows on Amazon, and it’s easy to see why. A step above the standard microbead styles, this travel pillow is 100 per cent memory foam with a soft velour cover, plus has an easy-to-use snap closure, making it simple to secure and stay in place. You can currently save a respectable 40% on this pillow on Amazon.

Why we like it: “The bag it comes in is surprisingly small (about the size of a small wash bag), so it hardly takes up any room in your carry on luggage, which is a real plus. The best part though is the plush and squidgy memory foam. I often find the traditional neck pillows too stiff and constricting, but this one was soft while still giving good support.” Sarah James, deputy digital editor

Kierain memory foam neck pillow

The Ecosafeter travel pillow is a memory foam style with a slight “hump” shape that’s designed to help relax the Cervical spine. The design is particularly great for sleeping upright, especially if you suffer from back or neck pain, with added neck support as well as a soft and flexible feel. It’s currently on offer with a more modest 13% reduction. You can read more about all of our favourite travel pillows in our full guide.

Why we like it: “I find it super difficult to sleep upright, which is why I loved the high back and firm cushioned support on this pillow. I took it with me on an overbooked flight with a 2am takeoff and did manage to get some sleep, admittedly in and out, but that’s better than my usual long haul wide-eyed experience.” Sophie Knight, senior visuals editor

Antler packing cubes

One of our top rated packing cubes, this pack of four by Antler have a whole host of features to make packing a breeze including mesh windows and expandable zips. From big trips to the Maldives and Australia to city breaks in Paris where I’ve had carry on luggage only, I have used these on so many trips. Whenever I fly with my son I fill the smallest bag with toys and snacks for him, so it’s easy to grab quickly. Antler is one of the best luggage brands in the UK, so the quality is great and the mesh lids make it so easy to spot what’s stored inside. Lauren Burvill, commerce editor

Bose QuietComfort 45 noise canceling headphones

As recommended by Dave Morris, a cabin manager for easyJet, these headphones are a must pack for air travel, according to flight attendants. “Sometimes you need to be able to switch off the outside world and have that moment of silence to reset, so I always pack a set of noise-cancelling headphones. Even if you’re not listening to music, it’s really helpful to have a moment of silence in an aircraft for a few minutes and enjoy the whole experience. I also always pack a travel sewing kit – you never know when a needle and string will save the day. Safety pins are so useful, whether it’s for replacing the pull on a zipper, adding extra security on a bag or rethreading a drawstring on a hoodie.”

Steamery Handheld Clothes Steamer

Leave it to Swedish brand Steamery to create not just one of the most effective hand-held steamers on the market, but also the most aesthetically pleasing. Their latest style is a slick-looking steamer and iron in one. We’ve found an impressive £45 discount at Oliver Bonas right now. See all of our favourite tried-and-tested travel steamers in our guide.

Why we like it: “The tool heats up quickly with just one button and the power is impressive – I was able to steam a couple of crinkled silk dresses in a matter of minutes. It also comes with a wearable heat-protecting ironing mitt so it’s really easy to remove every crease. Overall it’s not just great for travel, but can easily replace your iron at home. If you’re hand luggage only, this one may be a little on the heavier side, but if you’re travelling with check-in luggage, the minimalist design is easy to store amongst your other items. They also make a fabric spray that is brilliant for keeping clothes smelling fresh when you’re travelling.” Lauren Burvill, commerce editor

Apple AirTag

Since its release in 2021, Apple’s Bluetooth AirTag has become a must-have for frequent travellers or anyone prone to misplacing their keys. Simply attach the small button-shaped AirTag to your suitcase or valuable item, and connect to your iPad or iPhone via bluetooth. Once connected you can find your item via the built-in speaker when it’s nearby or via the Precision Finding function on the app when it’s further away – a gadget gift that’s sure to come in handy when waiting at baggage claim.

Anker PowerCore 20100 portable charger

An essential for not just the flight but your trip in general, a portable charger is an important safety net for being able to access important documents and details. It’s also a lifesaver when it comes to passing the time (especially if your flight is delayed) with your favourite entertainment. Opt for a charger that is small and lightweight. If you’re travelling in a couple or with family, a charger with at least two charging ports, like this one from Anker, will come in handy.

Bagsmart toiletry travel bag

After hours of research, Bagsmart Toiletry Travel Bag With Hook is the ultimate long-haul travel wash bag. It may look like any other wash bag, but it is the smallest details that make this a winner. The design ensures that it packs flat, even when it’s stuffed full, there are compartments for everything you’d ever need, and it has a hanger to save valuable space in the bathroom. It’s perfect. Large Cosmetic Case

This makeup bag is large enough to keep all you need for your weekly skincare and makeup routine, so it’s an ideal size to pack while travelling. It’s made from recycled PVC, which is also infinitely recyclable, so it has some impressive sustainability credentials. To up the luxury factor, it’s finished with a full-grain leather base and Aspinal’s signature ‘A’ monogramming – very chic. It’s now half price, while remaining stocks last.

Passport Cover with Card Slots

Aspinal’s mustard passport cover is currently half price; the only colourway to be reduced. So, provided you’re into the cheery yellow, this is a great opportunity to purhcase a luxury full-grain leather passport wallet, with five card slots, at a greatly reduced price. It can be personalised with your initials, too. See some more of the chicest passport covers to buy here.

Bellroy Classic Pouch

Keep all your essentials – phone, charger, passport, keys, pens, you name it – in here, and tuck it into your carry-on bag. It’ll make finding all your bits and bobs so much easier.
